Student Leadership:
The purpose of the Student Council is to develop leadership qualities in its members, to be of service to the school and student body, and to present the opinions, feelings and suggestions of the student body to those with the authority to act upon them. The Student Council consists of a Board of Officers. The Board of Officers is made up of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Commissioner of Religious Affairs, Commissioner of Mediators, Commissioner of Athletics, Commissioner of Publicity/Media, Commissioner of Health and Safety and Commissioner of School Plant.
Students who maintain a B average in academics, behavior, and effort and positive attitudes may apply for Student Council. The Board of Officers is elected by the student body after being approved as candidates and presenting themselves to the voting students in election speeches. One Student Council Representative in grades three through eight participates in student council meetings and informs their class of upcoming events. Throughout the school year, the Student Council plans, organizes, and sponsors events that enrich the student life on campus. Past activities include special days, fundraisers, and philanthropic activities.
